Blissful Minds: Terms and Conditions of Counselling

Your Counsellor and you will reach an agreement as to the nature of the therapeutic process. Your Counsellor and you will evaluate your progress throughout sessions. You agree to follow up on approaches and techniques described by your Counsellor outside of session times. You have the right to question the techniques prescribed by your Counsellor.

As part of providing the best possible counselling service to you, your counsellor will need to collect and record personal information that is relevant to your current situation. This information will be stored securely within the Counsellor’s Practice. In some circumstances, confidentiality may be broken. The circumstances could include but are not limited to:

  3. The Counsellor is legally compelled by a court of law, or disclosure is mandatory by law (such as terrorist activities, abuse of a child or vulnerable adult).
  4. If your counselling sessions are being paid for by an Employment Assistance Program (EAP), your business will be contacted if you do not attend a session.
  5. If the fee for you session is not paid on the day of the session or the due date of the invoice, your demographic details will be forwarded to a debt collection agency.
